It's a season for blogathons, it seems. Here's another one that hits the sweet spot of my cinematic appetites. I'm ALL over this one. Plus, it's for a good cause. Film preservation is important. The Self-Styled Siren has the details.

Saturday night is movie night at my house, has been that way since before I can remember when we started our weekly tradition. My wife and I used to enjoy getting a regular feature, and then ending the night with a film noir. Unfortunately, we don't have cable, and all the video stores have closed down where we live. Movies now just aren't what they used to be.
I used to run a video store, so I lament their passing. I don't have cable, either. And yet my access to movies is higher than it has ever been. The internet destroys, sure, but it creates, too.
