I Officially LOVE Isabella Rossellini

...possibly even more than I love her parents. "How Did Noah Do It?" from her Sundance series, Green Porno:

I completely understand love for Isabella and Ingrid... but what do you love about Roberto?

I've been in love with Isabella for a while, and before that with her mother. Okay, concurrently. Which sounds weird, but such is love.

These videos of hers (is this part of the series where she educates on the mating habits of insects, in costume?) are something else. Clearly she's as crazy as she is beautiful. And that is PLENTY crazy, my friend. :)

That. Was epic. I love this dame. When I was young and first got hardcore into movies, I looked up Blue Velvet (fun preteen times!) and was all, "Holy crap! She's as gorgeous as her mom! Only brunette! Wait, I'm a brunette, too! I'm going to be Isabella Rossellini when I grow up."

Sadly, it didn't turn out that way. But I still think we'd be best friends ever, if, y'know, she ever finds herself in this area.

Hi, Lee:

For all his faults--and believe me, I know all about them--I still love Open City.

Vicar: This is indeed part of that series. I don't know that she's crazy, because I'm fascinated by a lot of the same things. She sure is smart, though.

Laura: I had a bad crush on her mom when I was younger. Strike that, I still do. I've always liked Isabella, but the Green Porno shorts have pushed her out of the "like" category into the "love" category. That, and her work with Guy Maddin.

Vulnavia: Sorry, ladies and gents; she's mine. I've loved her since her performance as Tom Selleck's love interest in Monte Walsh - a severely under-rated western, which featured Ms. Rossellini as a whore dying of cancer who loves . . . well, you must see it for yourself.

Anyway, she has a confident intelligence that actually outshines her age-of-Renascence beauty - no small thing; as this short masterpiece displays in spades.

I must warn you, I'd fight to the death for nothing more than a smile and a short conversation.

Hi, Mykal

Smart is sexy, yes? The accent doesn't hurt, either.
