I thought that the woman playing Anderson was actually great, though, because she looked fragile but didn't feel fragile, to me. Perception differs, though!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09371081290350211755noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18814440.post-39842069277936766182013-02-22T15:05:30.681-08:002013-02-22T15:05:30.681-08:00Hi, Roscoe. Where are all the phaser guns?" whenever we stumble across cool technology. There was very brief moment when Stallone was poised to duplicate the Schwarzenegger model of sci fi/action filmmaking. Unfortunately, Judge Dredd derailed that idea.
Vulnavia Morbiushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04722740955194993451noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18814440.post-2631526803057610972013-02-22T14:21:01.027-08:002013-02-22T14:21:01.027-08:00I'm old enough to remember when the fairly ent...I'm old enough to remember when the fairly entertaining Stallone flick "Demolition Man" set really high expectations for his "Judge Dredd" followup.

Roscoehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18024719387913982327noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18814440.post-9915427179882785212013-02-13T11:59:38.397-08:002013-02-13T11:59:38.397-08:00Hi, Mykal,

I love the way that it gives Dredd and Anderson an option at the end of it when the bad guys accidentally blow a hole in the outer wall. That's good writing. I liked the Stalone film a great deal, mostly for the acting of Armand Assante.

An image from this film will not leave my head: Dredd has just thrown Ma Ma's chief henchmen, Caleb, to a long and terrifying death. From a balcony across the fall, Ma Ma watches Dredd turn and stride back through a cover of smoke. Ma Ma stares at him in hate and fear, her expression making Dredd a mythic force.

I also loved the character of Judge Anderson - one of the most convincing heroines in recent memory. I loved how she seemed fragile until it wasn't possible to be fragile.
Mykal Bantahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12148489896145024134noreply@blogger.com
